Our little Shai is getting ready today for a special feature that will make her more unique than ever. Starting today Shai will be able to play her own musical compositions! We also have a special competition for the most talented and creative; participate in the Shai Got Talent contest to win special rewards and titles!

Moreover, our shelves are receiving a new adventure journal, and this time we will look back at the adventures of Dorin Morgrim. By completing his journal you will not only get reward items but a temporary Item Drop Rate buff!

Last but not least, new mid season events are starting after maintenance. These include new attendance rewards, EXP boosts, and an upgraded version of the Black Spirit Adventure game!

Major Update: Dorin Morgrim’s Adventure Log

• Added a new adventure log, “Dorin Morgrim’s Secret Journal.”
  • You can access this adventure log after reaching Lv. 56 by accepting and completing the quest “Adventure Log: Stories of a Great Blacksmith” via the Black Spirit.
  • Once you can access the adventure log, you need to bring Dorin Morgrim certain items and enhanced gear to complete the objectives. Please note that when the quest asks for weapons, you may not hand in Blackstar or Awakening weapons.
  • Once the adventure log is complete, you will not only get reward items but a temporary Item Drop Rate buff.
  • Although this Item Drop Rate buff will stack with those of scrolls such as the Item Collection Increase Scroll, it will not stack with other temporary buffs from adventure logs. Therefore, please proceed with caution before accepting the reward.

Major Update: Compose and Play

• Compose and Play features have been added.
  • You can now compose scores and make songs of your own.
  • Though any character can compose, only a Shai character can play the composed songs.
  • You can find this new feature under Music Album in the Community tab of the ESC Menu (under the New Menu), or find Music Album directly in ESC Menu (under the Old Menu).
  • Press the Compose button on the bottom of your Music List and set the octave and tempo to start composing your own songs.
  • You can play a Beginner Guitar, Beginner Flute, or a Beginner Hand Drum.
  • You can preview what you have composed so far in the while you are composing.
  • A song in composition is regularly auto-saved by the system, but you can also name the song and save it manually.
  • As a Shai, select a song from your list in the Music Album and press the play button to play the song as your character. Before you play the song, you have to choose which instrument you are going to play from all the instruments that the song was written for.
• You can share your compositions with other adventurers under the Compose/Score feature.
  • Toggle the Register Music option in the Save Composition window to allow other adventurers to see to the compositions you want to share with them.
  • Toggle the Allow Download option to allow other adventurers to download your composition.
• Added the Musicianship Grade system.
  • Complete certain daily quests and Music Advancement quests with a Shai character who has discovered her Talent to gain EXP for improving her grade.
  • The higher the Shai’s grade is, the more bars and notes she can play.
  • You can select multiple notes then press Delete to delete them all at once.
  • Check the My Information (P) window for information about Musicianship Grade.
  • The highest Musicianship Grade available right now is C-.

• Complete the following quests with a Shai character who has discovered her Talent to gain EXP for improving her grade.
  • Please make sure you have “Life’ ticked as your quest preference type to accept these music-themed quests.

• You can copy/paste in the Select Mode UI.

• Added new guild missions.

• If the product of the item you are trying to Mass Process via the Processing (L) window does not stack in the Inventory, the process will now automatically cancel and an alert message will appear.

• Changed the stats of blue grade gear for guild galley ships as follows.

• Increased the max capacity for cannonballs in a guild galley.
  • Before

• You can now fire cannons faster when you shoot cannons from one side of the ship in default mode and then fire cannons from the other side of the ship.
  • This only applies to ships that can use the skill “Volley.”
• You can now press A or D to incrementally turn the ship if the ship is on standby.
• Increased the amount a ship can turn when using the skill “Smooth-Turn” so you can turn the ship more rapidly while in one place.
• You can now press W while using the skill “Smooth-Turn” to stop the ship from turning and start moving it forward.
• You can now press Z and C to control your ship while using the skill “AbruptTurn.”

• Added text about the [Level 5] Sea Trade Goods you can exchange to the descriptions of Brilliant Pearl Shard and Brilliant Rock Salt Ingot.
• Changed the effect from eating the poisonous Amanita Mushroom as follows.

• Fixed the issue where the boss monster would be summoned but the related quest could not be accepted after using a Saunil Siege Captain Summon Scroll before reaching Lv. 57.
  • If you use this scroll after reaching the required Lv. 45, the quest “[Co-op] Defeat the Saunil Siege Captain” should automatically be accepted.
• Fixed the issue where wrong items appeared when searching for vinegar in the Crafting Notes.

  • Due to the known issue where [Special] Pearl Box – 10000+1500 was not available in the Pearl Shop (F3) for a week, this special pearl box will be available until May 27th maintenance

• The following knowledge entries can now be gained even if you have completed the renewed version of the Kamasylvia main quest series instead of the older one, by conversing with NPC Khalid after completing the quest “[Kamasylvia] White Warrior.”

• Added mouse click feedback for when you click on the control commands guide for quests during which you interact with places or structures and observe them closely.
• Updated the Guild Mount List window.
• Fixed the graphical issue with the background of the Inventory (I) window that occured when opening the window from the Pearl Shop (F3) or the Dye (J) window.
• Updated the Change Server window so you can now select which explanatory text you want to view by clicking on it.

• Fixed the issue where the text describing certain Guild Houses did not cut off properly when it was too long.
• [Guardian] Fixed the issue where certain skills did not cast properly if all skills were locked in the Toggle Black Spirit’s Rage window.
• Fixed the issue where the 3D minimap settings reset after a new character reached Lv. 7.
• Fixed the issue where the quest preference type was carried over to another character if you set it up with a character that has reached Lv. 20, then changed to a character below Lv. 20 who is too low level to set their quest preference type yet.
• Fixed the issue where the image for the monster zone at the Abandoned Monastery did not appear correctly if you opened the World Map (M) with a character below Lv. 59 then pressed on a random node.
• Fixed the issue where the Chat window settings reset when you connected to the game with a Lv. 7 character.
• Fixed the issue where changing the color for the system messages chat window in the Chat window changed the color of other chat windows.
• Fixed the text alignment issue in the Recruit Guild Member window.
• Fixed the graphical issue with the grass and trees between Grána and Gyfin Rhasia Temple.
• Fixed the issue where your ship stalled abnormally when continuously BreezySail while equipped with Ebenruth’s Nol.
• [Shai] Fixed the text issue where the buff description in the skill description of “Time to Shine!” did not match that of the buff icon that appears when you use the skill.
• [Maehwa] Fixed the issue where the Red Blade effect did not activate even when you had the required three Red Petals.
• [Mystic] Fixed the issue where holding F during Prime: Soul Basher did not activate the skill’s last hit, but activated Prime: Tornado Kick.
• Fixed the issue where black spots sometimes appeared on the screen.
• Fixed the issue where Stamina recovered abnormally when using the ship skill FocusFire.

• We are aware of the issue where the Find NPC function is sometimes not working for NPCs who exist in multiple locations.
