New Monster Zone at the Ash Forest

We hope that this new monster zone gives ambitious adventurers a fresh new challenge. Just like how the difficult Aakman and Hystria Ruins monster zones were eventually bested by many of you, we eagerly anticipate you eventually mastering this new monster zone.

  • Added a new monster zone at the Ash Forest.
    • The recommended AP is 300 and the recommended DP is 400, the highest so far in Black Desert Online.
    • The aura of hatred caused by the ghosts of Ash Forest makes it difficult to use spirits or magic in the Ash Forest.
      • This means that if even if your character has any summoned creatures, the monsters will attack your character first. The monsters will only start attacking the summoned creatures after the number of monsters your character can detect has been exceeded.
  • The following monsters will appear at Ash Forest.
    • Volkras
    • Barnas
    • Gairas
  • Added a new accessory, Deboreka Necklace, which can be looted from monsters at the Ash Forest.

  • Changing the direction during the last hit of Prime: Beastly Wind Slash skills should now be easier.
  • You no longer have to hold LMB + RMB to continue using Black Spirit: Raging Thunder or Black Spirit: Prime: Raging Thunder skills.
    • You can end the above skills by pressing the LMB or Space Bar to trigger the last hit.
  • Fixed the issue where the accuracy rate of Prime: Ancient Wave was not correctly applied.
  • Fixed the issue where the wrong number of hits appeared in the skill descriptions of Black Spirit: Prime: Raging Thunder skills.

We were not satisfied with the number of suitable Succession versus Awakening skills the Berserker could use during the cooldown of Raging Thunder and Feral Rage skill. Therefore, we reworked Succession skills such as Prime: Ancient Wave and Prime: Devastation so they can be used instantly after certain skills. We also reworked the Prime: Raging Thunder skills. Instead of simply increasing the movement speed, which might make the skills trickier to use, we decided instead to allow you more control over how Prime: Raging Thunder moves.

  • Increased the casting speed of Ultimate: Echo Pierce to match that of other Echo Pierce skills.
  • Changed the damage dealt by Legendary Beast Dance skills as follows.
Skill Before Now
Legendary Beast Dance I
  • Vermillion Bird Damage 380% x7
  • Black Turtle Damage 380% x6

  • Changed the damage dealt by Flow: Intimidation as follows.
Skill Before Now
Flow: Intimidation
  • Applies Beast Rampage’s damage x3
  • Applies Beast Rampage’s damage x5
  • Tree Climb skills are now quick slot available.

We have noticed that many still use the Tamer’s Main Weapon skills due to the relatively low damage dealt by her Awakening skills. Therefore, we have adjusted the damage stats of Awakening skills such as Legendary Beast Dance, Flow: Intimidation, and Flow: Ascension skills to be comparable to Main Weapon skills such as Heilang: Whiplash. We have also changed how Echo Pierce skill works. We have increased the casting speed of Ultimate: Echo Pierce so the only remaining difference between it and the regular Echo Pierce skills should be the amount of damage and attack range. If you want a skill with higher damage we recommend you choose regular Echo Pierce and if you want to concentrate on forward attacks we recommend Ultimate: Echo Pierce.

  • You can now combo Lancia Training lateral attack or Sacrum Ferit lateral attack after Sanctitas de Enslar skills.
  • You can now combo Flow: Revelation Sanctus after Sanctitas de Enslar skills.

    • Critical Hit Rate 10% for 15 sec to self and nearby allies
    • Increase Movement Speed 20% for 15 sec to self and nearby allies
  • You can now combo forward Death Line Chase or Promptness before the last hit of a Hastiludium skill.
  • Casting a Hastiludium skill during Death Line Chase is now faster.
  • Fixed the issue where entering the command keys for Purificatione during Death Line Chase activated Promptness and its cooldown.
  • Fixed the issue where text saying that Succession: Flow: Spinning Shield consumes Stamina was not included in the skill description.

We wanted to add more ways for the Valkyrie to approach her opponents in Awakening mode. Therefore we added the possibility to combo Death Line Chase, Hastiludium, and Promptness. We also changed certain skills so you can combo them with Sanctitas de Enslar skills.

  • Changed the graphical effects of the following Awakening skills.

  • Fixed the skill description of Prime: Bleeding Hearts to match the actual throw damage skill effect.
  • Fixed the issue where slashing would start before the dash during Prime: Spring Breeze skills on uneven terrain.
  • Fixed the issue where the Super Armor and Invincible effects of Nimbus Dismount and Fragrant Stigma skills were applied incorrectly during airborne moves.
  • Fixed the issue where the Super Armor effect disappeared before the last hit of Black Spirit: Prime: Pendulum Kick skills.
  • Added text to the skill description of Prime: Spring Breeze III saying a Super Armor effect will be applied when gliding down with the skill.
  • Fixed a text issue in the skill descriptions of Black Spirit: Cymbidium and Black Spirit: Prime: Cymbidium skills about down attacks.
  • Fixed the graphical issue with the Crescent Pendulum that occurred when climbing walls.

Our concept for Lahn’s Succession skills was that her attacks will get stronger the longer she continues certain skills. However, even though Prime: Blade Dance and Prime: Cymbidium skills do get stronger when maintained, the risk taken when continuing the skills is so great it was a deterrent from using these skills as we designed. Therefore we adjusted the amount of damage that can be done with these skills, to make using these skills continuously more worth it. We also added more skill combo options so you can choose to combo certain skills instead of continuing the skill you are currently casting.

  • Added the “Succession” content.

With Succession, Guardian can use her battle axe and shield for even more ferocious skills. Not only will she be able to overpower her opponents, but she will also be able to take the brunt of their attacks for her allies and change the course of the battle.

    • After Awakening the Guardian, accept the quest “[Guardian Succession] For Justice” from the Black Spirit to start the Succession quest series.
    • You will learn the skill “Succession: Guardian’s Glory” which will allow you to learn more powerful Battle Axe and Shield skills.
    • You will no longer be able to use your Jordun skills.
    • Added the “Succession” tab to the Skill window. The skills in this tab are affected by the AP of both Main and Awakening Weapons.
    • You will be able to learn and use skills in both the “Main” and “Succession” tabs. However, if there is both an “Absolute” and “Succession” versions of the same skill, you must choose as you cannot use both versions of the skill.
    • To learn certain Succession skills, you will first need to learn the preceding skills from the “Main” tab first.
    • After completing the Succession quests and learning the skill “Succession: Guardian’s Glory,” you can go back and forth between Succession and Awakening skills by resetting your skills.
    • To go from using Succession to Awakening skills, you need to reset your skills to unlearn “Succession: Guardian’s Glory.”
    • To go from using Awakening to Succession skills, you need to reset your skills and relearn “Succession: Guardian’s Glory.”
  • Foretold Encounter can now be used while jumping in awakening mode.
  • You can now combo God Incinerator faster after Searing Fang or Flow: Suppress.
  • You can now combo Infernal Nemesis faster after Cleansing Flame or God Incinerator.
  • The All Accuracy Rate effect of all levels of Cleansing Flame has been changed to: All Accuracy Rate +9% for 10 sec. upon using skill.
  • Changed the location of the rocks that appear during Flow: Black Blood Eruption to be more natural.

  • Added text in the item description of Adventurer’s Tome to say that you can upgrade the tome into Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom.
  • Fixed the item descriptions of the following types of items that specified how many days you have to wait to use the items on a character of a recently released class.
